Support the marketing team by creating copy and written content for all platforms related to marketing and advertising, including website, printed pieces, review sites, and social media. Utilize creative thinking and strong writing skills to effectively communicate messaging, while maintaining brand standards and reputation. Working knowledge and understanding of digital marketing strategies and search engine optimization is a must.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage online reviews and reputation for multiple brands; monitor and create replies within department guidelines.
  • Conceptualize, research and write blog articles for several different brands.
  • Proofread all marketing material and advertisements.
  • Post approved materials on various websites and platforms.
  • Create company descriptions and advertorial content within specified guidelines.
  • Develop appropriate copy for paid social advertising and social media posts.
  • Create copy describing in-house events to accompany online photo galleries.
  • Proof automated marketing campaigns to ensure consistent messaging and optimal user experience.
  • Keep internet and listings current with correct information and images.
  • Assist with digital and traditional marketing efforts.
  • Create Monthly and quarterly newsletter content for several brands.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications.
  • Support any additional requests from the VP of Marketing or Marketing Director.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Five (5) years or more of work experience in a writing capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields preferred.
  • Marketing or agency experience preferred, as well as experience with WordPress and project management software such as Asana.
  • Excellent language proficiency, grammar and usage, and writing skills.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite – Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proofreading and editing across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines when needed.
  • Effective project management skills and ability to manage personal schedule.
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles.
  • Effective understanding of latest technologies and should identify how to apply them in marketing.
  • Work collaboratively and efficaciously as a team member.
  • Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative.
  • Effectively communicate and make best use of interpersonal skills.
  • Should be able to deliver creative and innovative thoughts.
