At the present time, we are seeking an experienced, responsible Driver/Recreation Assistant with a clean driving record to transport our Residents and recreation activity staff members to scheduled events , field trips and activities in our 12 passenger Bristal Van
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assists Residents getting on and off of the bus
- Greet Residents in a courteous and pleasant manner
- Drive vehicle abiding by all local and state laws
- Drive responsibly, without weaving, tail gating, excessive lane changing, and all other irresponsible actions
- Coordinates proper maintenance and cleaning schedule of the Bristal vehicles
- Report vehicle malfunctions to the Activities Director
- Report any vehicle incidents to the Activities Director
- Complete incident reports for any Resident accidents, injuries or episodes
- Ensure the vehicle is cleaned out after every trip
- Performs errands as assigned by Executive Director and/or Activities Director
- Assists Activities Director with activities-related assignments
- Performs other duties as assigned by Activities Director, Executive Director or Manager on duty
Please Note: Candidates must submit to a DMV background check. Only those with a clean driving record need apply.
Schedule to include one weekend day per week. Part Time schedule covering the day shift for 22 hours per week
Requirements:
- Valid License- Do to the size of the van a CDL is not needed
- Clean driving record with no moving violations (DMV check will be conducted)
- Knowledge of care of vehicles and rules of the road
- Must be pleasant and courteous to Residents and staff
- Must be able to speak and read English
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Strong sense of direction and a thorough knowledge of layouts of the surrounding area
- Must have 20/20 vision and good hearing
- Willingness to assist recreation staff and management with additional tasks as necessary
