4pm -12am

At the present time, we are seeking an experienced Painter / Maintenance Assistant to assist with property maintenance and repairs. They will also help maintain the prestigious appearance of our facility by painting, staining and touching up high traffic areas that cannot be accessed during the day.

The Painter / Maintenance Assistant will work Fulltime schedule. Sunday to Thursday hours of 4pm-12am

Responsibilities:

  • Applies paints, stains, surface preparatory materials, and undercoating materials to a variety of surfaces
  • Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely
  • Mix and match paints and varnishes
  • Estimate time and materials required on widely varied assignments
  • Follow Materials Safety Data Sheets ensuring compliance with hazardous materials guidelines as appropriate

The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of property maintenance to include:

• plumbing
• electrical
• furniture assembly
• snow removal
• equipment repair
• preventative maintenance
• hvac experience a plus

Requirements:

  • Experience with residential, commercial/industrial practices and processes of the painting trade
  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade to include: paints, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, paint removers, and related materials
  • Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal
  • Skill in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces( Interior and exterior experience preferred)
  • A proven ability to paint in a clean, precise manner
  • You must be an independent worker possessing the ability to handle a job from start to finish
  • Previous maintenance/repair experience skilled in one or many of the above areas
  • Experience working in a hotel, apartment complex, residential community, assisted living community or skilled nursing facility a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Kind, patient and compassionate demeanor when dealing with Residents, Management, Family Members and Management
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workloads and juggle many hats at the same time
  • Must have a stable work history and solid references
  • A minimum of a High School diploma; some college or advanced training preferred
